Benedetta's Seaweed Bath combines three therapies for the ultimate wellness experience. Our bath combines the effects of Balneotherapy (bathing in water hot enough to be therapeutic), Thalassotherapy (therapy from the sea) and the power of Aromatherapeutics, (essential oils medicines).
Seaweeds are known thyroid tonics and aid the natural processes of the body. We use a micronized blend of combined seaweed powders with a therapeutic dose of our essential oils, developed to alkalize and bring the system into balance as it gently detoxifies. This powerful, luxurious treatment will leave your skin feeling silky smooth, and your body relaxed and rejuvenated. The Seaweed Bath is a life-changing experience that can help shorten the duration of illness or eliminate it all together when taken at the first signs of ill health.

Contents: .44 LB Micronized Seaweed Powders: Lithothamnium Calcareum, Laminara Digitata, & Fucus. 1.0 oz | 30ml Certified Organic & Biodynamic Essential Oils in Sulphated Castor Oil. 1 Measured Plastic Scoop Plus 1 Shell Scoop.
Fill bath with hot (100-104 degree) water, and disperse 2 heaping shells of Seaweed Powder. When the tub is almost full, add 1 scoop of the essential oil blend.
Soak a minimum of 20 minutes & drink 12-16 oz purified water for therapeutic results!
For best results use weekly.

I have spent many hours in the ocean, waiting for waves, or just walking along the shore feeling the sand, seaweed, and water beneath my feet. The ocean has a revitalizing effect on us without question. Taking up 70% of our planet, we have a symbiotic cord with all that it has to offer.
Hot springs have their own therapeutic qualities through mineral absorption and heat. I have visited many and find their cleansing, detoxifying ability invaluable.
Comprising a bath that possessed all the elements of both these therapies and natural wonders was the end goal in the development of the Seaweed Bath. I wanted an alternative to what was being offered. As a long time user of seaweeds, and with knowledge of their curative and restorative effects on radiation, the development of a bath to harness such properties was imminent.
As an aromatherapist, I wanted to assist the continuation of therapeutic release with an essential oil blend-- Not just any essential oil blend, but one that would rival any “scented” bath salt by using a therapeutic dose.
The Benedetta Seaweed Bath was developed and launched in 2000. Comprised of two therapies, dosed separately.

I have never been a fan of sodium laurel sulfates or any of the derivatives of chemically produced soap. When in search for a direct source of Shea Butter, produced in west Africa, I found in so doing that black soap kept coming up. Once finding a reputable, fair trade company, they sent me a pound of black soap. They said that it was approximately 48% shea butter and the saponifier was that of a palm oil and plantain ash variety. I thought I’d give it try. Wow, not bad but a little gritty and definitely dirty. This soap, like shea butter is handmade by women’s cooperatives, usually in crude outdoor areas. In the earlier years I would find shea butter shells, twigs and rocks mixed inside. I would double sometimes triple strain the material to purify it.
The Sacred Soap is intended to cleanse without stripping the skin’s delicate balance as it leaves you refreshed.
Using both local and far harvested botanicals made into hydrosols, along with the right amount of essential oils, the Sacred Soap offers the perfect balance of cleanse and moisture.
I do not formulate for aroma, but for effect, however, as often happens we get many users addicted to the smell, many convinced it has ginger in it, which it does not.
It’s a thinner soap, as we do not use emulsifiers to bind it, I believe this is one of the purest soaps on the market and that uses NO lye!

Can the oil be purchased separately?
Hi Barry! Unfortunatley the bath oil cannot be purchased seperately. It is only sold together with the Seaweed Powder.
other than the skin benefits, how should you feel after the bath. I sweated a lot and felt a little weak after the bath. A piece of fruit helped a lot.

We do recommend people drink lots of water before and after our Seaweed Bath. It is very powerful when it comes to expelling toxins from the body and can leave some people feeling a little shaky. For these reasons, we recommend that pregnant individuals and those with weakened or compromised immune systems NOT use this product.
United StatesI used to buy your "5 trips to the Spa" package years ago and fell in love with the seaweed bath. I can't explain why it makes me feel so good, only that it does. The bath oil that comes with it has a very mild scent, it is barely noticeable so is not heavy and 'perfume-y'. The entire experience makes me feel relaxed and renewed. I also like that the seaweed powder easily rinses out of the tub, a vast improvement from the one years ago.

United StatesFirst of all I have Fibromyalgia, so I'm always looking for something to help with it somehow. In the past I have used Epsom salts baths and c.b.d. bath bombs. Sometimes they work great and other times not so much. That's always disappointing. I bought the seaweed bath a couple of times but hadn't bought it for quite some time. I remembered how well it worked on the pain I experience and I said to myself time to buy more. It's raining where I live today so tonight I'm taking a seaweed bath! I think it works better than a lot of other things I have tried in the past. Last year I bought one for my massage therapist and she loved it. She works and has a large family by today's standards, and she works out. She told me it was the best soak she's ever tried. I hope other customers will try this product and be just as happy as we were with it.
