Mix Seaweed Powder with Lavender Hydrosol to a creamy consistency and apply with brush or fingertips. Suggested measurements: Mix 3/4 scoop of Seaweed Powder to approximately 1 scoop Lavender Hydrosol. However, we encourage you to use individual measurements based on preferred consistency.

We recommend first massaging in Rosemary & Geranium Crème Cleanser to leave on under mask for blemished skin.

After launching the Benedetta line in February 1996, with exactly 9 authentic preparations, a facial mask was not among them.

We slowly integrated into selling to estheticians and they were the ones that requested that we create a clay mask of sorts. I initially felt that our Rosemary & Geranium Cleanser was all anyone needed to achieve many of the attributes one expected from a clay mask. In fact, there is some clay in that cleanser. Leaving the cleanser on for 20 minutes while massaging congested areas is very exfoliating.

I felt that clay was far to stripping for the skin and would be counterproductive in bringing the skin into balance. I resisted until I was given a pound of some sea veggies that had been micronized (made into flour). Not complete, I added some others, along with Blue green algae, and voila, a Non-Clay Anti-Aging Facial Mask was born. Made fresh with Lavender Hydrosol, you can customize the viscosity to suit your skin.

I am not one to follow trends and run wild with one ingredient as the magic bullet to all your skin care needs. It is not only a system of skin care preparations that work together that matters, but the synergies and collaborative ingredients that form a product.

Rich in trace minerals, B vitamins and Amino acids, our Seaweed Mask clarifies, detoxes, as it rejuvenates. Part of its unique rejuvenation, when left on for 50+ minutes, is found in the synthesis of collagen and fibronectin fibers which increase skin firmness.

Seaweed Bath: Fill bath with HOT (100-104 degree) water, and disperse 2 heaping shells of Seaweed Powder. Near the end of filling tub, add 1 scoop essential oil blend. End of filling tub, add 1 scoop of the essential oil blend. Soak a minimum of 20 minutes & drink 12 oz purified water for therapeutic results! Caution: Do not use during pregnancy. Not for those sensitive to iodine.

Mix approximately 1 scoop Repair Mask Activator to 1-1.5 scoops Repair Mask. After cleansing with Rosemary & Geranium Crème Cleanser, apply to face, neck and chest. Let dry for 20-40 minutes. Splash face with cool water to rehydrate before removing. Use rolling technique to remove for extra exfoliation. Prior to applying Crystal Radiance of choice, splash face with cool water once more. For dry, sensitive skin, apply a thin layer of Rosemary & Geranium or Anti-Inflammatory Cleanser may be applied before Mask.

Using our Crystal Radiance Hydrating Elixir Neroli after the Repair Mask is the most hydrating and soothing for your skin after this treatment.

The Repair Mask was created out of a need for extra exfoliation and correction before and after the skin becomes damaged. Initially I created a Pomegranate Exfoliant for Estheticians to use in treatments. This preparation was offered to their clients in need of a secondary procedure that had the ability to slough off more dead cells and have immediate results.

When I decided to come out with the Ombra Del Sole Series, it seemed appropriate to include this process and blend it with two kinds of Pomegranate powders and many more new materials, to enhance and include extra nutrients.

As a preventative and corrective preparation this formula has a more aggressive approach to exfoliation using ingredients [below] that breakdown dry skin cells and aid cellular renewal turnover rate; something that slows down with aging and increased damage. The Repair Mask & Activator penetrates deeper into layers of the dermis and once dried can stimulate collagen by shocking the cells into new production.

The powders in this mask have a reputation for treating sun damaged skin and addressing issues like age spots, acne scars, discoloration and elasticity- all associated with aging and atmospheric assault. They include:

• Kakadu Plum - high in antioxidants, particularly Vitamin C
• Turkey Tail Mushroom -immune strengthening
• Sandalwood Powder - anti-bacterial
• Pomegranate, Seaweeds and Spirulina -trace mineral rich and strengthening

The Repair Mask Activator is filled with waters and extracts rich in nutrients like linolenic acid and Vitamin C, both reputed for collagen synthesis. Once the Repair Mask Powder is blended into a homogenous cream and applied to the skin, it’s best to wait at least 20-30 minutes before rolling it off. Leaving it on longer will allow it to stimulate deeper into the epidermis, often causing a mild pulsating feeling. It’s recommended to start with less time for those with sensitivities.

The true activation takes place once the product is removed. Wet hands to make sure you have “slightly” rehydrated, still leaving the mask somewhat dry. Using the OMR -Open Mouth Resistant Technique, roll with pads of fingers in a circular fashion until all the mask is off. Use a very wet washcloth or splash with cold water the remaining mask off until your face is clear.

Should you do this procedure at night we recommend using the Ombra Del Sole Nighttime Repair Serum, followed by Crystal Radiance Hydrating Elixir, in particular Neroli if your skin is red or sensitive after treatment.

Day: First exfoliate with Dry Brush, then shower with our Citrus Sugar & Salt Exfoliant and Sacred Soap. Pour Hydrosol on the hands and rub on the body followed by applying crème all over the body. A little goes a long way.

For many years I was asked to create a body lotion. As a formulator, I look for the right ingredients for the preparation to couple with improving a physical disposition or skin disorder.

It wasn’t until one of my farmers in California sent me 5 gallons of Lemon Cypress hydrosol with a note saying,” I hope you can use this”, did I decide to create a body lotion using this beautiful botanical water.

A body lotion to improve circulation was the intention and the ingredients just fell into place. A synergy using nourishing botanicals that would rid the skin of dryness, as it aided circulation was created.

The Vibrant Body Lotion was born and launched in the San Francisco Ferry Building to amazing reviews. Still our best seller, it possesses a unique fragrance coming from the fresh array of raw ingredients that uplift the senses as it works magic on the skin.

After 4 years of success with the Vibrant Lotion, we launched the addition of two more lotions, the Lavender Body Lotion and Neroli Body Lotion, both having similar reports of success.

Our Lavender is an authentic aroma grown and processed by a California biodynamic farm. The Neroli is biodynamically sourced from Egypt and is processed slowly, omitting a delicate floral aroma. Both are calming and soothing to the skin, with the Neroli being more effective for the drier skin conditions.
