A Holistic Regime

Our skin is a visible indicator of dysfunction occurring elsewhere in the body. We look at the skin’s condition and consider the underlying causes behind its various  maladies in order to create a product that is both safe and effective on the root cause. Our healthy skincare formulas are derived from over thirty years of studying histology and anatomy especially that of the skin, in combination with a deep understanding of what nutrients the skin needs, how it absorbs, and how it releases toxins.

Synergy and Holistic Formulation

Our complex system of formulation is based in the process of drawing nutrients together in order to create a formula that is greater than the sum of its parts. Here, intuition blends with understanding the chemical makeup of botanicals and their families. Occasionally, we use multiple essential oils from the same botanical from a different distributor in the same formula. Each botanical possesses multiple chemotypes and constituents useful for different and various reasons and those characteristics are affected by where and how the botanical is grown. We assess how long a plant has been on the planet, where it grows, its botanical family, and its color and appearance before considering it for our products. 

We specifically use the essential oils of those chosen botanicals because they oxygenate blood, and carry and move other nutrients with them, a reason they have been used since antiquity as powerful medicines.1 Many of our products are named after an essential oil, as we see them as a root or life force, but those oils do not necessarily have predominance within the formula. Again, we aim to create a synergy that enhances and amplifies the botanical, which is why we use whole plant synergies whenever possible—the blossom, the leaf, the root, etc. And it is for this reason that we take a holistic approach from ingredient to formulation to function rather than a pharmaceutical one. By isolating botanicals to the point where they’re no longer natural, you also make them unrecognizable and therefore unusable to the body. By looking to natural synergies, we create active and powerful products that work safely and treat your body holistically.

Our products never contain synthetic fragrances, fillers or coloring agents; each formula has the rich color and sweet smell nature intended. Our formulation ethic is to foster a connection with botanicals that mimics the idea that all answers to a healthy and vibrant life can be found in our beautiful habitat. And we always advocate pursuing a healthy lifestyle, because although Benedetta is the best, cleanest, and most effective way to correct and protect your skin, it can’t fix everything.
